Christopher Martinez is currently an Executive Creative Director at Amazon. Previously he was the Design Director and Digital Creative Director for the iconic luxury retailer, Barneys New York. During his tenure he led the rebranding of all digital and print communications as executed through on/off-line marketing campaigns, UX design, digital in-store activations, print catalogs, event collateral, corporate branding and social media. Christopher was also the lead creative responsible for bringing to market the redesigned and award-winning Barneys New York website and apps.

Prior to joining Barneys, Christopher was the Senior Art Director of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Art Director of Esquire Magazine, and a contributing designer at The New York Times Weekly Magazine, as well as London based publications Time Out and NME. 

Christopher’s work has been honored by The American Society of Magazine Editors, The Society of Publication Designers, The Type Directors Club, American Photography, The Art Directors Club, American Illustration, The Webby Awards, and The American Advertising Federation; his work has appeared in numerous annuals and galleries, such as The Cooper Union Museum. 

Christopher is a guest speaker at Parsons and the School of Visual Arts in NYC, and a former graphic design instructor at the University of California Los Angeles.
